Notes |
On the Tom Roeser show in December of 2001 Durkin said he did not agree with John Ashcroft's stand that the 2nd Amendment gives the right to bear arms to the individual. He supports Janet Reno and Bill Clinton's reading that it gives the right to state governments.
Durkin’s House track record earned him a D in 2000 from the Illinois Rifle Association
Durkin, co-chaired the Illinois presidential campaign of Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain.
In the last Senate primary Jim Durkin won 371,940 - 46 percent. |
